Box of Goodies

Among them the 1968 London to Sydney winner model; Hillman Hunter Corgi No.302.

...So Long As It's White

I'm not sure excatly when, but sometime in the mid to late 1980s Iran Khodro started offering the Paykans in white only, just in case you were wondering why there are so many white Paykans out there. ;)

Post title is was inspired by the famous Quote [Kwoht] from Henry Ford; he said about his Model-T: "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black".

In Use Every Day

Another very rare Singer Vogue Estate, this one is a G Reg. (1 August 1968 – 31 July 1969). Speicial thanks goes to Alan B Thompson to not only for the photo, but also for checking into the Reg. for me. Cheers Mate!

You can hire a "Motorcycle Taxi" in Tehran... but I can assure you there is nothing cute about the ride! ;@

One Man's Humber Collection

MailOnline: "They were once loved by the British Army, prime ministers, and kings and queens alike. Humbers were known as the poor man’s Rolls-Royce.

But while more than 80 per cent of all the Rolls-Royces ever built can still be traced today, fewer than one in 100 Humbers has survived. Even more surprising, the largest collection in Britain isn’t kept in a national museum but belongs to a potato merchant from Hull.

Allan Marshall, 55, keeps 27 Humbers in a 10,000 sq ft building next to his lorry depot".

Obviously this collection would be totally worthless if it wasn't for that Gold Humber Sceptre MKIII! ;) For more info check out the HumberCarMuseum.

Grey Craze

1968 Singer Vogue Estate. Photos by: Chappells10

UPDATE: It turns out this Singer Vogue Estate is the newest surviving example of its kind, it is a 68 model (G Reg. 1 August 1968 – 31 July 1969). And according to the owner all other Singer Vogue Estates, newer than this car, recorded as scrapped! Thanks again to Chappells10 for clarifying the facts for me.

Paykan Lowrider#42

Don't be fooled by the Hunter badge on the door, this is a Paykan! ;)

Sandy Lands

Lovely photo!... although I can't be 100% sure, but I have reasons (no Bumper-stops, thinner Body-side moldings, and fixed front quarter windows) to believe that this is a Singer Gazelle and not a Singer Vogue.
Unfortunately spottiewattie17's mum couldn't remember what version she had.
