I'm in Central America at the moment and in the honor of this beautiful and vibrant part of the world I wanted to make a post, so I thought about this photo. This slide was taken in late 60s/early 70s in Caracas, Venezuela.
Details are sketchy but there are some information out there that Rootes used to built the Arrow Series in Venezuela. If anybody out there has additional information about Rotoes operations in Latin America please let me know, Muchas Gracias! ;)
For more Caracas slides see my set on flickr.

Michael's Dad

My dear friend Michael contacted me with the sad news of his father passing. Top picture is Michael with his Dad, next to their first Hillman Hunter they owned in Venezuela. His parents loved the car so much that when they moved to the U.K. they bought another Arrow (this time a Hillman Minx, and notice the Venezuelan badge on the grille). And here is a post I had on Michael's Mom in the same driveway. Thanks for the lovely photos Michael! and my condolences for your loss.

Michael's Mom, Venezuela
My dear friend and ex-coworker Michael, finally got a chance to dig out this picture of his Mom with her beloved Hunter. The picture was taken in Venezuela where the Hunter used to be sold. I absolutely adore this picture, Thanks Michael!
