71 Hillman Hunter Estate

A nice example of the Hillman Hunter estate (Station Wagon). I believe this has to be a custom paint job, I don't think Rootes offered any two-tone colors. This car is an Automatic, very rare in the UK.

Aston Martin Vantage's Tail-Lamps

Yes it is true, these Tail-Lamps on the Aston Martin Vantage are indeed from the Hillman Hunter. It was very common back in the seventies, specially on British & Italian Cars, to share exterior parts with each other instead of tooling up new ones.

Dude, Where's My Paykan?

Paykan 1347

Celebrating the birth of Paykan. The car got ridiculed at the beginning, Iranians used to drive much bigger cars in the 50s and 60s. This picture is from 1967 (1347 Iranian Calender), the first year of production in Iran.

Correction: The photo is a promotional photo. The laughing lady is Elaheh Azodi, she was the Miss Iran of 1968, and she was given a Paykan as a gift. First year of Paykan production was 1967, May of 1967 to be exact, and the above photo was taken in 1968.
